Karberg & Hennemann GmbH & Co. KG is a third-generation family business based in Hamburg. In 1951, Mr. Erik Karberg acquired the license to manufacture (and distribute in Central Europe) the now world-famous CJC fine filter systems and CJC fine filter cartridges from his friend and Danish inventor Carl Christian Jensen. Initially, CJC fine filter systems were sold exclusively to the shipping industry, where they quickly achieved such great success that the filter technology was continuously developed and sales were extended to industry as early as the 1960s. Today, CJC fine filter systems are suitable for a wide range of applications in shipping, offshore, in the industrial and energy sectors as well as in mining and open-cast mining.

As a result of the steady growth of Karberg & Hennemann GmbH & Co. KG has necessitated several relocations within Hamburg. With its own production and in-house analysis and testing facilities, Karberg & Hennemann GmbH & Co. KG is now based in Marlowring in the west of Hamburg. In 2000, due to the success of CJC on the Italian market, the Karberg & Hennemann srl subsidiary was founded in Modena, Italy.

Since 2006, Mr. Sven Hogrefe has been the third-generation managing partner of Karberg & Hennemann GmbH & Co. KG. On 01.01.2007, 50 % of the company were transferred to C.C.JENSEN A/S, further intensifying the already close cooperation.

CJC fine filter technology is available worldwide through a global network of branches, subsidiaries, joint venture partners and sales partners as well as regional representative networks. The now more than 200 employees support customers with in-depth know-how and, as experts, also help to solve problems with very specific oil contamination or conditions.
