In 1981, the UFP (Union Francaise de Papeterie) based in Paris, was founded as a trading company for stationery products. UFP increasingly specialized in printer supplies and storage media and concluded its first direct contract with IBM in 1987.

UFP Deutschland GmbH has been part of the UFP Group since 1997. The German head office is located in Kamp-Lintfort and there are also sales offices in Wiesbaden and Mendig. In addition to Germany and France, the company is also represented in the UK, Spain, Austria, Belgium and the Netherlands. With more than 750 employees and a sales volume of over 1.2 billion euros, the UFP Group is one of the most important European distributors in the industry and works as a pan-European partner with the largest manufacturers.
